While their 2025 Summer League race approaches its end, the Sixers have their first series of victories.
The team collected its second consecutive victory on Wednesday evening, marking a 90-82 victory over the Mavs and improving at 2-2 in Las Vegas.
Johni Broome had a double double at 22 points and 14 rebounds. Mark Armstrong scored 22 points, three assists and two thefts.
VJ Edgecombe, Adem Bona and Justin Edwards sat off the second night of the Sixers Back-to-back.
The fifth and last match of the Sixers in Las Vegas will be on Friday at 18:00 and compared to the nets. Here are the observations about their victory over Dallas:
A lot of jumper brome
Broome continued to roll like a shooter, draining a pair of three episodes in less than four minutes.
It cooled after that and ended the night to 4 by 11 long -range, but there were no wrong with the Broome approach. While he was anxious to shoot, the 22 -year -old debutant made sensible decisions and certainly was not selfish.
The size of the sample is obviously not enormous, but the filming of the summer league of Broome have been encouraging in the whole, especially considering that he did not start taking three until his junior season in Auburn and was 27.8 percent beyond last year. He shot 10 for 22 (45.5 percent) in the Las Vegas game.
Armstrong takes fire
The Sixers use five men from the Armstrong bench, Jalen Slawson, Saint Thomas, Andrew Funk and Stefan Todorovic.
Armstrong had a Breakout performance. He stumbled three triples of the first quarter and collected 13 points in the opening period.
Armstrong’s ultra-sicide attack while the Sixers’ backup point guard was quite impressive. A strong night will not drastically change the general perception of his shooting capacity – Armstrong went by 28.2 percent from long distance last season – but it is absolutely a great positive while trying to build his professional career.
Veterinarians get Sixers at the finish line
Hunter Sallis (nine points, five rebounds) began on Wednesday to the shot. He led the basic line and downloaded a large and a crushed at the beginning of the third quarter.
The 6 feet Armstrong showed its burst and bounces later in the third, hammering two slams at home.
The guard of the starting point Judah Mintz also played well on Wednesday, recording 14 points and four assists. Mintz largely played as a veteran in his second summer alloy. He scored 16 assists and four turnover in Las Vegas.
Keve Aluma scored in double figures for the second night in a row, adding 17 points on 6-per-8 shooting, four rebounds and three assists. Twelve points of Aluma arrived in the fourth quarter.
At 26 years old, the hallates have a significantly more professional experience than the average summer league. He had bright moments in Las Vegas for the Sixers in the last two years.
