The debutant of San Antonio Spurs Dylan Harper has undergone surgery to repair a partially torn ligament in the left thumb on Friday, reports Shams Charania by Espn.
Harper, 19, suffered the injury during a training on Wednesday. After quickly the surgery, it is expected that it will recover in time for the open of the Spurs season on 22 October compared to the Dallas Mavericks and number 1 of the overall choice Cooper Flagg.

In his solitary season with the Scarlet knights, Harper scored on average 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4 assists per game while shooting 33% on his 3 points attempts. He played two games with the SPRS’s Summer League team and scored 16 points per game, with an average of 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
Harper will probably begin the 2025-26 season as a reserve in a team of San Antonio which has already been provided in the backcourt with De’Aron Fox (who recently signed a four-year extension and $ 229 million) and the debutant of the year last season Stephon Castle.
