Premier League top scorer Alan Shearer has named his Team of the Week for Week 28, with Everton, Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers each having two players in the lineup.
Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford produced one of the best saves of the season to prevent Newcastle United, Shearer’s former club, from scoring an equalizer in stoppage time as the Toffees won 3-2, with centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite scoring the opening goal.
Man City pair Marc Guehi and Rayan Cherki were recognized for their role in title contenders’ hard-fought 1-0 victory at Leeds United, while Wolves duo Yerson Mosquera and Joao Gomes were included after the bottom side beat high-flying Aston Villa 2-0, with Gomes scoring and Mosquera playing a key role in a clean sheet.
