Alessia Russo recently joined an exclusive Gunners club to score 50 times for the famous red and white with her brace in the second leg of our UEFA Women’s Champions League second leg against OH Leuven.

Our No.23 opened the scoring that evening with his 49th goal for the club, before completing the 7-1 aggregate victory with his 50th. Alessia’s latest double comes two and a half years after her first two goals with Arsenal, scored against Paris FC during the Champions League qualifiers in September 2023.

The England international has scored many memorable goals for us, including her first WSL goal for the club, a 94th-minute winner against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium in October 2023.

Another strike against the Villains was among her finest as a Gunner so far, as Alessia struck from a seemingly impossible angle at the Emirates Stadium, winning our December 2024 Goal of the Month award.

But the goals that stand out most among our attackers’ impressive collection are those scored when we need them most.

Already in less than three years as a Gunner, Alessia scored the only goal in a north London derby, scored a late equalizer to earn a point against Chelsea and scored two of three goals as we overturned a 2-0 deficit against Real Madrid on our way to winning the Champions League.
