Andrea Berta Eyeing ‘Shock’ Deal to Sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka for Arsenal
Arsenal may have won the Premier League in the 2025/26 season, but they are still looking at ways to strengthen their squad for the upcoming campaign.
The Gunners are looking to bolster their midfield, with talks intensifying over a deal to sign Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes, while a new forward is also understood to be at the top of their wishlist, with both Morgan Rogers and Bradley Barcola in talks about a move to the Emirates Stadium.
But there are a number of departures expected during the summer window which will open up spots for more arrivals, and one of those positions is at right-back.
Arsenal Eyeing Shock Wan-Bissaka Deal
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Arsenal have added West Ham star Aaron Wan-Bissaka to their shortlist as a potential option to replace Ben White.
White is expected to leave the north London side this summer as he searches for more regular first-team football, having found himself behind Jurrien Timber in the pecking order under Mikel Arteta this past season.
That means the Gunners need to find a replacement, and Wan-Bissaka has emerged as a real option for the Premier League champions. The club’s recruitment staff feel that he could compliment Timber well, being more defensive-minded, and considered to be ‘one of the best in the world’.
Arsenal have got Wan-Bissaka under serious consideration as someone to become part of their squad, although no final decision has been made at this stage.
West Ham are not expected to stand in his way should they receive an offer, and Andrea Berta has taken an extensive look at his situation while assessing the next possible steps to get a deal done.

Arsenal Move for Wan-Bissaka a Shock
While Wan-Bissaka has got experience at the highest level, having played for Man Utd in the past and represented DR Congo at the World Cup this summer, it would still be a surprise if Arsenal brought him in.
The Gunners have been a side that are known for their ability to play out from the back in tight situations, and Wan-Bissaka’s biggest weakness has always been his ability with the ball at his feet.
Defensively, he is remarkable, and would help to improve the club’s excellent defence. But Arsenal tend to dominate possession in most games, which would bring out his weaknesses.
