In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Arsenal had identified Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon as a target. The Gunners are believed to be considering bringing the English player to north London in the summer transfer window.

Gordon’s good form in English football

Gordon has enjoyed an impressive campaign at the Tyneside club as he has been tasked with producing a series of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 25-year-old has scored 14 goals and had five assists in 38 appearances for Newcastle this season in various competitions.

The Liverpool-born wing wizard is one of the most feared players in the Premier League right now. Therefore, Arsenal would do well to sign him this offseason.

His current contract at St. James’ Park will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for the Gunners to sign him on the cheap later this year.

What will Gordon add to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s side?

Gordon can use his quickness to cause a lot of headaches for his marker in the wide areas. He has the vision to create decent chances in the final third and is also a good dribbler with the ball.

The English sensation can hit the ball with power from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Gordon is primarily a left-sided player, but can also play as a right winger or center forward if necessary. He already knows the Premier League well and will not take long to settle in at Arsenal.

We can expect Gordon to add more quality and depth to Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular starting place at the north London club in the years to come.

At 25, Gordon has his best years ahead of him, making him a decent choice for the Gunners to consider this summer transfer window. He could even help the London giants compete for some major trophies in the future.
