The 24-year-old is the twin brother of Gunners defender Jurrien, but unlike him the Feyenoord man is a midfielder. They began their youth career at De Trots van Zuid before joining Ajax Amsterdam in 2014.

Jurrien stayed at the Johan Cruyff Arena before moving to north London a few years ago. However, Quinten joined FC Utrecht in 2021 and, impressed with his performances, Feyenoord decided to bring him back the following year.

The midfielder has been a key player at De Kuip Stadium in recent years, but he was unable to properly serve his club last season due to injury problems. He has been fit and available again this season, helping his side win the Eredivisie title.

In 14 appearances in all competitions, Timber has scored twice and notched just one assist. After proving his worth for Feyenoord, he secured his place in the Netherlands national team.

However, speculation about his future has started to emerge as his existing contract will expire at the end of this season. NOW, Caught offside claim Arsenal, Man Utd and West Ham expressed interest in signing him in a cut-price deal in January.

Arsenal have been monitoring Quinten closely since purchasing Jurrien and could take a hands-on approach to finally lure him to the Emirates Stadium next year.

However, it won’t be easy for Premier League clubs to complete the deal as Borussia Dortmund are currently leading this race and are ready to accelerate their efforts to sign him in the winter window.

With the player set to become a free agent next summer, Feyenoord could be willing to let him leave mid-season to recoup a transfer fee.

Arsenal currently have Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice as first-choice midfield options, while Christian Norgaard is the backup. So they don’t need to add depth at this position at this time.

However, Man Utd are keen to improve the midfield department next year, while West Ham could strengthen the engine room to help Nuno Espirito Santo survive relegation this season.

Thus, Timber, valued at around £26 million per Transfer marketbetter join Man Utd or West Ham rather than Arsenal if he ultimately leaves Feyenoord in January.
