Gunners has not hidden his admiration for Eze, but had backed away from the palace that attacked the midfielder in recent weeks and obviously left Spurs in pole position to sign him. But an injury to Kai haveertz has been a sudden return to the race for England International.

Havertz missed training on Wednesday with a knee injury, and while Arsenal does not yet get a complete picture of the issue, they have moved quickly in the transfer market. After reportedly considering a feature for Aston Villas Morgan Rogers, they have now returned to Eze as a possible solution.

Palace chairman Steve Parish and Hans Tottenham -Mot. Motion Daniel Levy have been locked up in talks about an agreement for EZE, but it now seems that they have been gazumped. Eze has always preferred to join Arsenal – the club where he spent time in the academy – and that can be crucial.

Athletic reports that Arsenal, after previously Baulked at the price of £ 60 million, has now stated that they will pay up. It may be to tell because Gunners should now meet both the player and the sales club’s requirements for a move.

Tottenham -Manager Thomas Frank is anxious to add creativity to his squad after losing James Maddison to a serious knee injury. But Palace’s insistent is being sorted before their Play-off match against Conference League against Frederick on Thursday seems to have cheated their chances.

Spurs seemed increasingly desperate on Wednesday evening when reports arose that they were willing to include Richarlison as part of a swap agreement for Eze. The Daily Mail reported that Frank would wave goodbye to the striker who made twice in his 3-0 victory over Burnley on the weekend before trying to replace him with Brentford’s Yoane Wissa, which has been the subject of rejected bids from Newcastle.

The speculative eventuality now seems even more unlikely with Arsenal ready to beat its rivals to the signature from one of Premier League’s most exciting players.

Gunners has already spent over £ 200 million to sign Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga. They have struggled to loosen unwanted players, but have seen their hand forced by Havertz’s injury, leaving them short in front.

Eze has made 167 performances for Palace since joining the club from Queens Park Rangers 2020 in a deal worth £ 17 million. The 27-year-old is keen to move back to Arsenal, the club he supported as a boy, where he will play in the Champions League and potentially challenge for the Premier League title.
