Arsenal news: Fan views on dropping points at Wolves
We asked for your thoughts on league leaders Arsenal after their squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with lower side Wolves Wednesday.
Here are some of your comments:
William: Without Martin Odegaard, we lack meaning, inventiveness and effort. The sooner Mikel Arteta abandons his inside-out and sideways technique and accepts that creativity has a role, the better.
Philip: Pathetic! Despite the depth of the squad and the versatility offered, the team lacked imagination, dynamism and determination. If the club thinks a result is based on 20 minutes, that shows their naivety. The bottle has been well and truly opened and Manchester City are drinking from it. We were Tottenham in disguise!
Tai: Arsenal try to win and we support them even in difficult times. Winning games will not be handed to Arsenal by any team, so let’s move on and work towards the goal at hand. One game at a time. I believe in our team and I support them. Come on, Gunners, you got this!
Colin: Arsenal scored early and Wolves were everywhere. It looked like one side of the bottom of the table. A routine Arsenal victory seemed unlikely, but Arsenal were still playing in second gear, as if 1-0 was enough. A huge wasted chance.
Brand: Cruising at 2-0, then imploded. Soft center allowing the Wolves to manhandle us. Bukayo Saka should have played on the wing, as Noni Madueka was non-existent. A disastrous goal to concede at the end. Arsenal are not making it easy for themselves.
Doug: We need to remove the rose tinted glasses. Manchester City are ruthless – a quality that Arsenal simply do not possess. So sad to see another title opportunity disappear like all the others. We’ve flattered to deceive for much of this season.
Darren: I’m absolutely bored watching Arsenal. They get into good positions, then stop, hold on, giving the other team time to get back into position – then we pass and come back to do it again. I said it from the beginning, we will NOT win the championship by playing like this. Arteta needs to fix THIS.
Steve: Another very disappointing result. I don’t see us winning the championship playing like that. Pushing the ball from one side of the field to the other without any urgency. I’m a Gooner and I have to admit that it’s very boring to watch.
