John Cross reports for the Mirror that despite claims Gabriel Jesus will be out until 2026, the striker is now targeting a return to full training and possible first-team action by December.

Jesus is said to have impressed Arsenal’s medical staff with his determination to make a comeback, and he has already taken part in sessions on grass. But he hasn’t had full training yet.

In other good news, Cross writes that Kai Havertz is also making good progress in his recovery.

The report adds that Havertz is expected to return in the coming weeks and could start playing matches again in a month.

If so, it would mean a return in time for the tricky week of matches at the end of November involving Spurs (H), Bayern (H) and Chelsea (A). These three games are still a little over a month away.

Cross’ report also mentions that Martin Odegaard and Noni Madueke are still expected to be out until after the November internationals, meaning their first return dates are also the same week in November.

Jesus, Havertz, Odegaard and Madueke can certainly offer Arsenal a lot on the pitch, so having all four back before the start of the year would give the team a major boost for the second half of the season.
