Arsenal told me it’s time to sell 45 million pounds of star Mikel Arteta pressed after after 204 million pounds transfer
Arsenal has not been afraid to sprinkle cash this summer but it has left some players nervously kept their eyes on their future at Emirates Stadium for the upcoming campaign
Arsenal has been told that they should invite a farewell to Gabriel Jesus this summer by Gunners icon Alan Smith. The Brazilian striker has endured a mountain and the roller coaster at the Emirate after a move of £ 45 million from Manchester City.
Jesus, 28, has scored 26 goals in 96 performances in all competitions. But his time as a shooter has been decimated by injuries – a serious injury prematurely limited his season last semester.
And Smith now believes that time is now right for the striker to be moved, especially after the big money arrival by former sports Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres. When he spoke to Metro, the former Arsenal man said: “I think someone like Gabriel Jesus can go with his track record with injuries.
“He can be one that you say, thank you and try to move him on, get some money in. Obviously, with Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz, maybe there are not too many opportunities for him this season.”
And while Smith believes this summer may be the right time to go separate roads with Jesus, he has urged Mikel Arteta to hold the Wingers Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli despite reporting interest in Eberechi Eze and Rodrygo.
Arsenal given overwhelmingly green light over the next transfer – ‘icing on the cake’
He added: “I would be tempted to keep Leandro Trossard because he is a versatile player who has done well and scored important goals. I don’t think you would like to lose him. And the same with Martinelli actually – he didn’t have the best of seasons, but I think you definitely want to keep him.”
Jesus has already talked about his future at Arsenal. He spoke in January and suggested that he was not ready to recognize defeat in his attempts to become Gunner’s principal in attack.
He said: “I continue to work and everyone at the club can tell you how I work every day, not just me without everyone. I do not give up and it is not easy to play for a big club like Arsenal. Now I can score and I am very happy – I want to continue to make points to help the team.”

As it stands, it seems unlikely that a summer exit will be on the cards for Jesus. He is expected to be on the side for a while even as he continues his recovery from his knee injury. Jesus remains under contract in northern London until the summer of 2027.
Arsenal will have their new season going on next weekend when they travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
