Gunners has made offers for Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres, with the new sports director Andrea Berta extremely busy.

And when he spoke after the 3-0 friendly victory over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, Mikel Arteta confirmed that more could come. “Let’s see,” Arteta said. “Let’s see what happens, when it comes to where the squad is in the coming weeks.

“But we actively look at alternatives. There are also some players, maybe, they also have to leave. So we will be open to see what happens.” Here Mirror Football looks at what these offers may be in the coming weeks.

Berta priorities clear

Arsenal has been busy this summer, but they have not been able to sell their French players as well as their rivals. Gunners has only generated about £ 8.57 million through player sales after selling left -back Nuno Tavares to Lazio and Marquinhos to Cruzeiro – and Berta must deal with it.

Mirror Football understands that attention has now turned to download unwanted stars. Reiss Nelson tops that list because his sales as a home-grown player would be helpful for profit and sustainability rules. Fulham has been in conversation across the Wing, which spent last season on loan there.

Then there is Fabio Vieira, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Karl Hein and, potentially, Oleksandr Zinchenko. Arsenal knows that they have to balance the books, especially if they are to sign the Top Target Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

The Eze plan is progressing

There are encouraging characters over a move for Eze, with other puzzle pieces that fall into place. Mirror Football understands that Stuttgart continues discussions about a transfer for the former Porto midfielder, with Arsenal looking for a package worth up to £ 17.35 million (EUR 20 million).

Of decisive importance, Stuttgart can get a deal after selling Enzo Millot to the Saudi Pro League page Al-Ahli. It is understood that the Frenchman has collected £ 25.9 million (€ 30 million), which means that the funds are there for Vieira, whose departure is needed to make room for Eze.

Palace does not want to sell his star player, but Arsenal believes he is keen for a movement of £ 60 million, which can still arise in the latter stages of the transfer window. Ademola Lookman has appeared as an alternative if a deal cannot be done.

Other possible departures

Arteta currently has an inflated squad at Arsenal and departures are definitely needed. Contract negotiations with Leandro Trossard have stopped and bids would be maintained for the Belgian tool player, although Arteta would like to keep him as a squad player.

Gabriel Jesus has gained interest from Brazil, but it is very unlikely that he is recovering, given that he is recovering from a knee injury. Interest around Zinchenko has died after requests from AC Milan and there is frustration about Sambi Lokonga, which remains contracted to Arsenal after loan spins with Luton and Seville.

Back-up goalkeeper Hein has interest from Levante and Rangers, with Arsenal seeking a permanent sale, given that he is in the last year of his contract.
