Based on his own experience between messages, Remi led an exciting session of “Warsie Wars” with children from our football program Plus. In addition to the management of games, he shared valuable advice, rewarded outside competitions with bonus points and encouraged young goalkeepers all along.
After the session, Remi participated in a short Q&A, where he talked about his trip to Arsenal, how he became a goalkeeper for the first time and offered advice to our aspirant footballers.
Building fully with the group, Remi thought about the evening, saying: “It’s great to go down to the center of Arsenal. When I was young, I know how important it was to show the players of the Academy and inspire us, so I always try to give back every time I can.
I really enjoyed it, it’s great to play and get involved with the next generation of footballers. The hub is an incredible space for everyone to use, make friends and have fun. It’s so important, and it’s fantastic to see the great work that Arsenal in the community done. »»
The session that Remi assisted was part of our football plus program, which is funded by the Premier League and the Professional Footballers’ Association. Delivered by Arsenal in community coaches, the program combines basic football by raising awareness of important social problems, while providing young people with precious opportunities to play and develop.
