Arsenal Would Consider Recruiting This Bournemouth Winger: What Will He Bring To The Emirates?

“Liverpool, we know of their links with Bournemouth through Richard Hughes, and Manchester United showed some interest in Semenyo this summer.

“Tottenham also showed a bit of interest over the summer, and I’m sure Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal would all consider Semenyo.

“The problem is that for any interested clubs his price is increasing week by week and Bournemouth could take him beyond £100 million if his performances continue.

“Bournemouth are preparing to be interested in Semenyo. I don’t see a move in January simply because of the price it would take to bring him out.

“I think Bournemouth are probably expecting serious offers for the player next summer, having done well to keep him this summer and tie him down to a new contract.”

Semenyo’s impressive start to this campaign

Semenyo made a good start to the campaign putting in a series of impressive performances for the Cherries in the final third. The 25-year-old has made eight appearances for Bournemouth this season, scoring six goals and registering three assists on all fronts.

The Ghanaian talent has proven his worth in the final third averaging 2.29 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 50% of his shots on target. However, Semenyo needs to be more careful when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half, as evidenced by his 67.1% pass success rate in league football (stats via fbref.com).

What will Semenyo bring to Arsenal?

Semenyo is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has an eye for playing assists on the offensive side of the pitch. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has added numerous goals and assists to his game this season.

The Ghanaian talent would bring more pace and goals to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s attack. He is more than capable of challenging for a regular starting place at the Emirates Stadium.

At 25, Semenyo has his best years ahead of him, making him a good choice for the Gunners to consider in January or at the end of this campaign.
