Arsenal’s new chief was James Corden’s best man and lived with Harry Styles | Football | Sport
The most recent member of the Arsenal board of directors rubbed shoulders with entertainment fees before joining the Gunners as non -executive director. Last week, the Northern Londoners announced an important reshuffle behind the scenes with Tim Lewis leaving his role as executive vice-president. The 62 -year -old has advised the owners of Arsenal Kroenke Sports and Entertainment (KSE) since 2007.
Richard Garlick was appointed new managing director of the club, after being managing director. Josh Kroenke played an important role in the Emirates stadium and will continue to do so under the new structure. The board of directors has also seen other additions with the Ben Winston cinema magnate which gave a director’s role.
The award -winning producer is a seasonal arsenal holder, who regularly attended matches in the past three decades. He has never worked in football before, with his success prior to the entertainment industry.
Winston helped create an emblematic segment of James Corden’s emblematic Carpool and was even the best man of the presenter at his marriage. They initially linked to their love of football in the teachers of the show and have become good friends.
He also has a narrow association with the superstar of pop Harry Styles, which previously moved to the producer and his wife for about two years. The singer would have slept on a mattress in the attic while waiting for his new house in Hampstead to be ready to live.
Winston has also produced shows for Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Elton John and Adele. He currently produces the Kardashians, which means that he is working closely with members of the famous family, including Kim Kardashian.
He is the son of the estimated professor Sir Robert Winston, who is sitting on the work benches in the Chamber of Lords. He is a fertility expert who was the IVF pioneer and was a vocal critic of sex -assembled surgery.
Addressing social media after joining the Arsenal board of directors, Winston described it as a “dream come true” and graciously thanked Kse for the opportunity to get involved in his childhood club.
He wrote: “It is really nothing less than a dream come true. I spent the majority of my life speaking and dreaming of the arsenal. Now, I am really authorized and obliged.
“During my years, we are sitting in the west of Lower Highbury, then standing in the end of the clock, with a rear row of the 12 block by the corner flag at the Emirates, I never imagined being in the directors’ box.
“My tongue can now have to clean a little during the games, but my passion will never do it. I am more than grateful to Stan and Josh Kroenke for this opportunity.
“I am also very grateful to have seen Alan Sefton direct by example all these years ago, and show me the Arsenal way. I love this club so much and it is the honor of a life to serve it.”
