Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has issued an update to supporters after the Gunners signed Viktor Gyokeres to bolster their attack.
Gyokeres has been a top target for Arsenal this summer and the club managed to secure the Swedish international’s services from Portuguese champions Sporting Lisbon in a deal worth over £60million.
The Gunners are currently in Asia on a pre-season tour and Gyokeres was spotted at their 3-2 win over Newcastle United.
Victory over the Toon backed up Arsenal’s 1-0 win against AC Milan, thanks to a solitary Bukayo Saka goal.

Gyokeres’ arrival could force a departure at a club and Jesus was quick to take to Instagram to issue an update.
The Brazilian has been on the sidelines since January and is keeping supporters updated with his recovery.

Jesus posted a video of him hitting the gym with the caption: “Another hard week of training,” which was liked by Arsenal team mates William Saliba and Jurrien Timber.
The 28-year-old has struggled with injury issues during his time in North London and his absence last season was felt with an injury to fellow striker Kai Havertz hampering Arsenal’s title hopes.
Arteta to deliver verdict on stars
Football Insider Verdict
Amid the signing of Gyokeres, and with Havertz in reserve, Jesus could be surplus to requirements at Arsenal and may find opportunities limited next season.
Jesus has not had a regular run in the side due to injuries, and Havertz would currently be ahead of the Brazilian in the pecking order.

Arteta is still keen on Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze and the Spaniard has already spent over £200m in this transfer window.
That means departures may be required and Jesus could join the likes of Leandro Trossard, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior who have all been linked with moves away from the club.
This summer represents another stage in Arteta’s vision for Arsenal, but the manager needs to lead his side to trophies next season or face greater frustration from supporters.
Gyokeres’ record in Portugal suggests he could be the ruthless finisher Arsenal need, which Jesus has not been able to provide since his move from Manchester City in 2022, to fire them to a title.
