Arteta Sack -Chat inevitable if Arsenal loses nightmare opener against Man Utd at Old Trafford
We get the feeling that Ruben Amorim will look forward to Manchester United’s opening day conflict with Arsenal much more than Mikel Arteta, for which anything but a victory at Old Trafford will result in a wonderfully early sack chat.
Here are five reasons why a trip to Old Trafford is a Nightmare First Fixte for Arteta …
Polar expectations
Even a couple of seasons ago, Mikel Arteta would have been praised for the hilt for having beaten Manchester United on his own note on the opening day for a season; Even a draw would have been affordable.
But this is the worst Manchester United team in Living Memory, or at least it was last season, when the 1-1 draw in the same fixture saw Arsenal described as “complete throw”, with Arteta was condemned for its ‘Tony Pulis Tribute Act’. It is no longer acceptable for Arsenal to do something other than beating Manchester United.
Only one of us expects Arsenal to win the Premier League, which is as much to do with our growing lack of faith in Arteta to get the job done as much as anything, but they were in all our best, while the only lowering of positivity is found in finding in Our predictions before the season came from our resident Red Devils Fan Ian Watson, who think they will be much less sh*tea if they Get a midfielder with the legs and a competent goalkeeper.

Viktor Gyokeres vs Ruben Amorim
We support ourselves before a fixture with a new striker of £ 70 million per club, both of which were strongly linked to the other before they made their movements to give us the delicious opportunity to immediately kneel to label a genius and the other a flop in gloating and gnashing of teeth depending on your red faith. We ask you – give the people what they want.
At this stage, we would choose one over the other through a coin, which does not seem to be far away from Arsenal’s strategy. But we predict Gyoker will have the tougher time on Sunday.
It is again partly down to expectation – Gyokeres is “the last part of the puzzle” for Arsenal, who needs to drive them to the title, while Benjamin Sesko has a laughing low bar to clear to become a dramatic improvement in the future for United.
But there is no manager who knows what Gyokeres can do – and therefore in an excellent position to stop him – better than Ruben Amorim, without which Sweden International would not have had his dream to move to Arsenal. Whether the United Defenders can carry out Amorim’s order is another issue.
Manchester United can actually be pretty good
However, the defense looks pretty good. They have admitted only five goals in five games before the season and that area on the pitch was rarely picked out as a problem during Amorim last season. Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven appear to be a nice mix of experience and youth to rotate in the three center-back positions.
There have been good signs from Patrick Dorgu and Diego Leon to the left during the season, while Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot provide very different but decent alternatives to the right. The midfield is the obvious concern because Manuel Ugarte has not come close to proving himself capable of granting United sufficient stability along with Bruno Fernandes, thus the interest in Carlos Baleba as a “perfect” fit for that role, in the opening with the imperfect Kobbie Mainoo and the previously perfect casemorate. And certainly, we are also far from convinced by Andre Onana.
However, the front three can be a real handful. It is about such a good trio that Amorim could have hoped for now that United cannot fish in the best pool of talent. The dynamics and hunger to succeed feel like the big thing among all three Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, with deeply sitting love for Manchester United (or at least greater love for them than Newcastle) The key to Amorim’s desire to sign them.
And while a brand new forward line can be a problem for United, with the relationship between those who are not yet embedded, it also makes it very difficult for Arteta to prepare his team because he has no idea what to expect from them.
Ruben Amorim can actually be pretty good
It became easy to forget when Amorim lost the game after playing to drum up the worst record for any Manchester United manager at the Premier League era last season that he did not want to become Manchester United manager last season.
He made it very clear to Omar Berrada as he approached Sport that his preference was to stay in Portugal and take over at Old Trafford this summer, and said the same again when he was presented as the new Red Devils manager, revealed that he was forced into a corner of Berradas ‘now or never’ ultimatum.
He made a convincing case because he did not arrive that the middle of the season was the right action plan, and admitted on several occasions last semester in the middle of a fairly extraordinary bag pressure that he may not be the man for the job while many of us asked his unmatched faith in his principles and football style.
But he is still here, with his reputation largely intact, after a season before the season he requested bed in ideas that worked so brilliantly at Sporting and now at least has a useful chance to prove successful at United.
There is a feeling of no harm to Amorim on United. He has gotten rid of or on the side of the “bad apples” got some of his Players in and have had time to work with a squad as crucial (hopefully) knows what the final goal is. Can we see a “new manager bounce” from someone who has already been at work for nine months?
Or arsenal can be a little sh*t?
We think more about the reaction after the match here. We don’t think Arsenal is Sh*t, and we also don’t think they will be in this game. But since we have no barometer for how good Manchester United are, no other games to provide context for their quality, we suspect that most fans and pounds will see a United victory as proof that Arsenal has no chance of winning the title rather than saying, proving Ruben Amorim’s page can qualify for Europe.
If you are unsure, the football stakeholders take the path of pessimism, and it is much more fun to suggest the Artetas set for the bag than Amorim can be an okay manager, actually.
