Aston Villa has reportedly opened conversations with Arsenal over the transfer of attacker Leandro Trossard.

Unai Emery is said to have been interested in signing the Belgian in January, but Higher-ups at the North London Club had decided to offer the player a new contract and was sure he renewed the terms.

But the 30-year-old chose not to sign again, and it seems to have left the door open for an exit this summer.

According to reports, Trossard has become aware of Villa’s interest and it is submitted to him to make the final decision on where his future lies.

It is said to be the Arsenal value of the former Brighton & Hove Albion star to about £ 18 million, an amount that would not be a stumble for the villas that will get a lump sum from the store to sell Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle United.

There is a feeling at the club that Mikel Arteta wants to keep Trossard, but because of his lack of playing time it would be willing to facilitate a move away.

Especially with Arsenal signing Noni Madueke from Chelsea, and focusing on Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, regular first team football looks to be a matter for Belgium International.

Since he arrived at the Emirate two years ago, Trossard has proven a popular figure with fans and under Arteta, who shows his versatility and an eye for a goal and made 28 in 124 performances when playing an important role in Gunners who competed for the Premier League and European titles.
