Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard came out of the bench to score while Arsenal beat the Spanish sports club to get his campaign in the Champions League for a winning departure.

Martinelli only scored 36 seconds after being presented, the Belgian striker Trossard putting him on goal in the 71st minute.

The Brazil winger then made the favor, beating his man and giving the ball to Trossard to sneak in the second in the 86th minute.

It was sometimes a difficult match for Arsenal and the athletics club based in Bilbao, in the Champions League for the first time since the 2014-15 season, was supported by a noisy crowd and started the extremely fast game.

The local team has pinned Arsenal for the opening period of the game, Alejandro Berenguer causing specific problems for the Arsenal back line.

Arsenal had a hard time getting the match in the first half, but had the best chances of the 45-minute opening when Viktor Gyokerres put a large diving head at close range.

Gyokerres finished the match with a bandage around his head after a heavy faces of heads with teammate Gabriel, when the pair tried to direct the same ball goal.

The Gunners had struggled to create a clear opening in the match before Mikel Arteta introduces Martinelli and Trossard in the second half.

Martinelli has had trouble in recent months, with a drop in form – and had started the last two games on the bench with a new Ebelechi Eze signature starting on the left wing – but hopes that the goal and the assistance will give him the elevator he needs.

Arsenal has invested around 250 million pounds sterling in their team this summer and this depth was again presented because Arteta had quality options to choose on the bench.

It was not one of the best performances on the side of Arteta, but, with three points and another white sheet in the opening match, their Champions League campaign started perfectly.
