Ben White: Arsenal’s injury problems mount with fears Gunners boss Mikel Artea could be without defender for over a month

Arsenal Fears defender Ben White could face at least a month out due to the hamstring injury he suffered in the win over Wolves.
The Gunners are still awaiting final confirmation of the extent of White’s muscle problem, but early concerns are he will be out between four and six weeks.
The 28-year-old Englishman limped off in the 31st minute of Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Wolves at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday and was replaced in the last four by Myles Lewis-Skelly. Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said after the match that the injury was a suspected hamstring problem.
The absence of White, who has played 11 times this season for the Premier League leaders, compounds injury problems in Arsenal’s defense ahead of a congested spell of four matches in 10 days.
Gabriel Magalhaes suffered a captor injury while playing for Brazil during the last international break and will remain sidelined until the end of the year.
His compatriot Cristhian Mosquera is also out until mid-January 2026 with an ankle injury.
William Saliba and Jurrien Timber returned to the heart of Arsenal’s backline this weekend following recent injury problems.
Arsenal travel to Everton in the Premier League on Saturday before a Carabao Cup quarter-final with Crystal Palace on December 23.
Areta’s side, who are two points clear of second-placed Manchester City, will next play home matches against Brighton and Aston Villa on December 27 and 30 respectively.
