Even with all the sports dignitaries present and even if they were looking at a sort of game of rivalry between Lakers and Clippers, fans inside the Thomas & Mack Center were still mostly in love with Bronny James.

This is the type of design power that James also had with his father, Lebron James, looking back from his basic places. This is the type of drawing that James also had with Steve Ballmer, Tyronn Lue, JJ Redick and Rob Pelinka present.

James had one of his best games of the NBA Summer League, but the Clippers were the ones who came out on the top of a victory for 67-58 on Monday evening at Nevada Las Vegas.

James had 17 points, five rebounds and five assists in 24 minutes and 17 seconds.

He had six by 10 from the field and three by five from three points.

And yes, he was happy to have the support of his family and teammates.

“He surely gave me some push, seeing them cheering him for me and my teammates,” said James. “It’s nice to enter the gym with them.”

The night star was the striker of the Clippers Jordan Miller, his 19 points and seven rebounds a great reason why the clippers are 3-0 in the summer league.

His Tre-Pointer late in the fourth quarter gave the clippers an advantage they never lost. He scored nine of the last 11 points of the Clippers.

“We did it,” said Clippers coach Jeremy Castleberry, who is the team’s Summer League coach. “We did it. We did what we had to do, the second night of a back-to-back. For many of those guys, it was the first back-to-back that they have played for a long time. So, happy to have done it.”

James started strong, shooting a triple to open the score. He added a third place in the second quarter, those two shots that are part of his 12 points of the first half out of four for four shots.

In the fourth quarter he made a triple that linked the score 51-51.

“Yes, I can see growth, for sure,” said James. “Honestly, I feel only as if my trust is growing over the past year and a half. So, I intend to grow on this and I will keep my right mind.”

The Lakers shot 34.4% just from the field, 30% from three points and 38.5% from the free shooting line (five by 13). They also shot the ball over 19 times.

The assistant coach of Lakers Lindsey Harding said that the team showed signs of “effort”, which he expected considering that it was their sixth summer game (they played three games at the California Classic in San Francisco).

“It seemed that we hadn’t very pop,” said Harding, coach of the Lakers’ summer league.

But not James. The entire game seemed excited.

“Bronny came ready. He came ready. He had the spark,” Harding said. “You want these guys, especially he in that position and who will be with us with the Lakers, when you have your minutes, go hard. Play up to tiredness, we will take you out and then we will get back inside. I thought it did it today.

“He did an excellent job, even in the end offensive in finding players, making readings on pick-and-rock. I think they fought to look at him and did an excellent job in the defensive end.”

But James was not the only one who excited fans.

Announcement

The debutant of Clippers Yanic Konan Niederhauser threw down a bad -crushed crushed on Cole Swider in the third quarter, which set the crowd set.

Niederhauser had another strong exit for the clippers with 10 points, two rebounds and two thefts in 23 minutes.
