Strus has undergone surgery on Tuesday to repair a fracture in the left foot, announced the team. The details of the accident are not known, although Strus has recently gone down in an out of season training. Strus is expected to be put aside for 3-4 months, which means that it will lose a significant part of the 2025-26 campaign.

Strus marked on average 9.4 points and 4.3 rebounds per game last season, his second with the Cavaliers. Strus was limited to 50 games last year after going down with an ankle injury in Preseason. He shot 44.2% from the field and almost 39% from behind the arch helping the knights to a record of 64-18 in the regular season. That was the highest victory of the team from the 2008-09 season, although they were eliminated by the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Strus, 29, signed a four -year agreement and $ 63 million with the Cavaliers in 2023 after a three -year race with Miami Heat. That agreement was made in a sign between the two franchises that ended up sending Cedi Osman and Lamar Stevens to the San Antonio Spurs.

Although the knights have not provided a specific time sequence for the return of Strus, it will probably be outside at least in November. Even if it is put aside only by the basketball activity for three months, it will need time to backup before actually taking the field.
