Chelsea and Arsenal reportedly rejected the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani during this summer’s transfer window.

Chelsea and Arsenal have both reportedly rejected the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani during this summer’s transfer window.

The 26-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus, scoring 10 times and registering three assists in 22 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions.

Juventus are allegedly keen to sign him on a permanent basis this summer, but the Italian giants are struggling to come up with the funds required to bring him in on a long-term deal.

Kolo Muani is allegedly not in PSG’s plans moving forward, so an exit is expected this summer, with Manchester United and Newcastle United both believed to be keen on his services.

According to ESPN, Chelsea and Arsenal were both offered him earlier this summer, but the London duo rejected the chance to sign him, preferring other options in the final third of the field.

The report claims that Chelsea decided to sign both Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, while Arsenal are on the verge of bringing in Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon.

Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak is now seemingly available, with the striker expressing a desire to leave the Magpies, but it would cost at least £120m to sign the Sweden international.

Man United and Newcastle are both said to be interested in Kolo Muani, with the Frenchman expected to be available for a fee in the region of €50m (£43.7m), but there is also a chance that a loan deal could be sanctioned under the right circumstances.

PSG are expected to insist that an obligation to buy is included in any loan arrangement, although his contract in Paris is due to run until the end of the 2027-28 campaign.

Would Kolo Muani be a good signing for Man United, Newcastle?

Kolo Muani scored 26 goals and registered 17 assists in 50 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of a move to PSG, but it would be fair to say that it has not happened for the striker in the French capital.

Indeed, he has only managed 11 goals and seven assists in 54 appearances, and it is not a surprise that PSG are looking to move him on considering their talent in the final third of the field.

Kolo Muani has the skillset required to be a success in the Premier League, though, and both Man United and Newcastle should be looking seriously at the Frenchman, who could be a bargain signing considering his age and experience.
