Chris Paul joins the best team of his career?

While entering his first and last season NBA, Chris Paul has decided to spend it in Los Angeles with a team with which he is too familiar.

Paul will be expected to sign with the Clippers, putting a period on what was an absolutely extraordinary out of season for the organization after having also acquired John Collins, Brook Lopez and Bradley Beal.

Paul, who is now 40 years old, has just released a year in San Antonio where he started all 82 games, showing that he is still very capable of being an impact player.

The flagship guard could have had pedestrian numbers (8.8 points and 7.4 assists per game) compared to its first, but the statistics tell only part of the story. He will join a team of clippers in which the ball will be in the hands of James Harden and Kawhi Leonard a little, which means that it is likely to play a role that supports him even more opportunistic as regards creation.

With Collins and Derrick Jones Jr. in the roster, Paul will have several targets of the Lob at his disposal, just as he will have tiators who can fill the wing in the form of Bogdan Bogdanović and Beal, who will probably play a non -insignificant quantity of minutes along Paul.

The addition of Paul, in combination with the other moves of the organization this summer, catapulted the clipper in the state of the contender, at least assuming that Leonard is healthy as he looked in the playoffs against the Nugget of Denver.

The team’s depth graphic is also quite ridiculous. If we take an initial formation of Harden, Beal, Leonard, Collins and Ivica Zubac, the secondary rotation will be made up of Paul, Bogdanović, Nicolas Batum, Jones and Lopez, forming one of the most powerful rotations of 10 men in the NBA.

Paul’s leadership qualities could allow him to take the starting point on Beal, but in this case, the clipper will only have a handful of score even stronger on their second unit.

Although this is not similar to the version of Lob City of The Clippers, with Paul, with Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan, there is a case to make that this could be the best team of Clippers that Paul has ever been.
