Cooper Flagg debut was the fourth game of Espn Summer League ever

Cooper Flagg is already an NBA star from one aspect.
The first overall choice of the 2025 NBA Draft made its debut in Summer League on Thursday and, together with another Ringing driver in Bronny James, designed an average of 955,000 spectators through the Nielsen metrics, announced Espn on Friday. This is the fourth public recorded in the history of the summer league.

According to reports, the public for the game of Dallas Maverks-Los Angeles Lakers reached a peak of 1.12 million viewers and represented an increase of 167% compared to the average of the summer league last year.
The three games that have seen more spectators than those of flags and players who designed those eye bulbs:
1. Zion Williamson vs. RJ Barrett in 2019, 1.61 million
2. Victor Wembanyama against Brandon Miller in 2023, 1.39 million
3. Lonzo Ball vs. Jayson Tatum in 2017, 1.1 million
4. Cooper Flagg vs. Bronny James in 2025, 955k
It is worth noting that the Nielsen numbers of the summer alloy do not return very far. For example, Lebron James’ Summer League debut in 2003 was broadcast on NBA TV, which at the time was not classified by Nielsen.

Flagg entered the enthusiastic NBA of any American perspective from James, after only one year in Duke in which he obtained honors of the national player of the year. Thursday he had an irregular performance, publishing some beautiful highlights, but going without score in the second half with 10 points on shooting 5 out of 21.
The Mavericks won the match 87-85, with Bronny James even without score in the second half of an eight-point performance.
Flagg is scheduled to play his second game on Saturday against the number 2 Pick Dylan Harper and San Antonio Spurs, but may not be long for the summer league. He has very little to demonstrate to Las Vegas and Mavericks have clarified that they see him as a key component of a probable playoff team, so they won’t play it for the taste of playing it.
