Corinthians and Flamengo will decide this Sunday, starting at 4 pm (Brasília time), at the Neo Química Arena, in São Paulo, the last finalist of the 2024 edition of the Copa do Brasil.

TV Globo , Sportv, and Premiere will broadcast the match throughout Brazil. You can access/watch it on ge.globo and globoplay

Rubro-Negro holds the advantage gained from the 1-0 victory in the first leg at Maracanã and will play for a draw to reach the final. Timão needs a victory by two goals to qualify. A victory by a simple margin for the São Paulo team will take the decision to penalties.

Corinthians are looking to turn the match around and return to the final of the tournament after two years. The 5-2 win over Athletico-PR in the middle of the week gave the team a chance to breathe again in the Brasileirão and gain confidence for the decisive duel in Itaquera. Memphis Depay, the star of Thursday’s victory, will be out of the Copa do Brasil.

With a much-changed team, Flamengo lost 2-0 to Fluminense on Thursday and wasted the opportunity to close in on Botafogo, who drew with Criciúma at home and have a game in hand. Despite the setback, the team from Rio de Janeiro remains encouraged by their good performances against Corinthians and Bahia, matches in which Filipe Luís had full strength at his disposal.

Probable lineups

Corinthians – Coach: Ramon Diaz

Without Memphis Depay, who was not registered for the Copa do Brasil, Ramón Díaz has the important reinforcement of Talles Magno for the attack. The former Vasco player returned to the field after an injury on Thursday and could gain more minutes this Sunday.

Félix Torres is back this Sunday. Absent against Athletico-PR due to the FIFA ban, the Ecuadorian trained normally on Saturday and is listed for the match.

Ramón Díaz should take the field at full strength, despite the priority being the fight against relegation in the Brasileirão, but he will be forced to make changes compared to the team that beat Athletico-PR. In Memphis’ place, Romero is the favorite to pair up with Yuri Alberto.

Probable team: Hugo Souza; Fagner (Matheuzinho), André Ramalho, Cacá and Matheus Bidu; José Martinez, Charles (Breno Bidon), André Carrillo and Rodrigo Garro; Romero and Yuri Alberto.

  • Out: Ryan (rupture at the base of the fifth metatarsal of the left foot); Ruan Oliveira (knee surgery), Maycon (knee surgery) and Diego Palacios (surgery to correct a cartilage injury).
  • Suspended: André Ramalho, Rodrigo Garro and Romero.

Flamengo – Coach: Filipe Luis

Flamengo has three important players returning from the games that did not play in the Fla-Flu due to fatigue during the FIFA World Cup. They are Gerson, Pulgar and De la Cruz. In addition to them, Arrascaeta and Alex Sandro, who came on in the final stretch of the classic, are also expected to return to the starting lineup.

In the last activity before the decisive match against Corinthians, Filipe Luís gave no indication of what team he will take to the field during the tactical training carried out at Ninho do Urubu. It is worth noting that the former full-back led a penalty practice.

Probable team: Rossi, Wesley, Leo Ortiz, Leo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Erick Pulgar, De la Cruz, Gerson and Arrascaeta; Gabigol and Bruno Henrique.

  • Absences: Pedro, Viña and Cebolinha, all out for the season, as well as Luiz Araújo, with remote chances of returning to play in 2024, and Carlinhos, who has already played for Nova Iguaçu in this Copa do Brasil.
