Chelsea lost 4-2 on aggregate in the semi-final.

Fofana, 25, featured in Chelsea’s third round win over Lincoln City but was benched for the next two games – before being recalled for both semi-final matches and losing both.

Former Aston Villa star Agbonlahor39, said: “These are crocodile tears.

“It’s not like they hit the post and there are opportunities to hang on the line.”

In the first match at Stamford Bridge, Alejandro Garnacho scored twice in the second half.

Unfortunately for Chelsea, Arsenal beat Robert Sanchez by three.

But in the second leg, both teams struggled to score with only four shots on target throughout the match.

And the fate of Liam Rosenior’s side was sealed when they conceded yet another goal in the dying seconds of added time, with Kai Havertz scoring the only goal.

Agbonlahor said: “They didn’t lay a glove on Arsenal, so for me I didn’t get those tears from Fofana.”

The Villa icon insisted he really doubted the authenticity of the tears.

He added: “I don’t know at all. Not at all.”

But the former England striker went even further.

Agbonlahor said even managers are guilty of exaggerating their emotional reactions.

He said: “How many times have you seen managers perform in front of the cameras? »

He then pointed the finger at Pep Guardiola.

With Manchester City’s recent poor results, Agbonlahor suggested that Guardiola would now just throw a “mean” look at the camera before disappearing down the tunnel.

Arsenal will face either City or Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final on March 22.
