Damian Lillard assumes the role of general manager for his Alma Mater Weber State basketball
Damian Lillard followed in the footsteps of Stephen Curry (Davidson), Trae Young (Oklahoma), Patty Mills (Hawaii) and Terance Mann (Florida State).
Lillard became the general manager of his Alma Mater, the men’s basketball program of the WEBER state.
A continuous inheritance in Ogden. The legend Wildcat Damian Lillard officially joins Weber’s male basketball state as a new general manager.

While these GM roles for the NBA players are often more ceremonial – the star can help with recruitment, swing from some practices and stay in touch with the players, has a precious experience, but it is not the one that takes decisions on zero money or anything else in the field – Lillard hopes to do a little more, part of which the Nil resources for the program has increased. Here’s what he said to the annual game of Weber State basketball pupils, second Isaac Fisher of the Standard-Examiner Garden (Roof rumors for hat tip).
“It is something that my relationship with the coach [Eric] DUFT and this program means a lot for me and seeing the success of the program means a lot for me. I feel like I could do a lot to help the program to be successful, to help players even continue to grow their careers beyond college, it’s something passionate about …
“All the resources I have, I have the opportunity to be able to create for the program, while I am in the program and even after the program, it is something I am enthusiastic about. I can’t wait to do that job, I can’t wait to continue lifting the university, lift the program. It will be fun.”
