Daniel Farke makes huge arsenal claims that will delight Mikel Arteta | Football
Daniel Farke claimed that Arsenal has been the best side in European football for the past three years after seeing Hans Leeds enduring a 5-0-broken one.
Gunners made it two wins from two at the beginning of the new season with a routine victory over Farke’s recently promoted side.
Leeds held until 10 minutes before the break when Jurrien Timber set up Set-piece experts forward with he hit Declan Rice’s corner with an exact heading.
Bukayo Saka doubled the lead before the break, before Viktor Gyokeres opened his account for his new club shortly after the break.
Timber’s second, after another rice corner had caused chaos, and an injury time Gyokere’s punishment completed the route.
Your ultimate guide to the football season
After significant investments under the transfer window, Arsenal now looks finally equipped to convert texture into large trophies.
Arteta drew criticism last season when he claimed that his side was the best team in the Champions League after their semi-final downfall in the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, but Farke believes that Arsenal should attract much more praise for their performance, rather than avalanche of criticism they receive as a result of their lack of silver.

He said, “I think it’s fair to say that Arsenal deserved to win this game today,” Farke said at his post match press conference.
“They were the better side, they also deserved to win this game with a good right goal difference.
“I’m not sure if it was actually a 5-0 because five shots on goal and they made all five of these shots.
“Long story short, it’s more like when a team like Arsenal is on it – a team that over the past three years is probably the best team in Europe at least in texture you can argue – not title winners but no other team has shown this consistency – then it is always difficult.
“It’s not a seasonal defining game for us. We accept that they were better than us.”
Arsenal’s squad depth will receive an early test at Anfield next weekend when they will probably be without skipper Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.
“It’s today’s negative,” Arteta said after seeing two of his keymen limp on each side of half time against Leeds.
‘Martin knew something in his shoulder when he landed. We don’t know, we have to scan him tomorrow and understand a little better.
“And Bukayo, as he carried the ball, wrestled with the defender, he knew something in his hamstring. Let’s see, I think it’s the other, it’s not the same as the previous injury.
“We have been two weeks and we have already lost Kai, Martin and Bukayo, so it tells how well equipped you have to be in this league to handle and maintain the level we want.”
When asked about Saka’s injury was serious, he added: ‘I don’t know, he knew anything while he sprinted. It’s never a good sign.
“We have to wait until tomorrow, talk to the doctors and better understand what he has done. But he has had his injuries before, he knows exactly the feeling of it, so let’s wait. ‘
