Defender says that £ 55 million players Arsenal wants to sign is so good that it really is “scary”
Gunners has spent almost £ 200 million in this transfer window and strengthened the plan because Andrea Berta looks to give Mikel Arteta tools to compete for the Premier League title again.
While Arsenal is satisfied with the business they have conducted so far, they still feel that more firepower is required in their attack to ensure that they can compete on several fronts.

Bright Osayi-Samuel describes Eberechi Eze as ‘scary’
At the top of Arsenal’s wish list is Eberechi Eze, which may now be available for about £ 55 million after his release clause expired at the end of July.
England International scored 14 goals and gave 12 assists in all competitions for Crystal Palace last season.
This level of productivity would be welcome in what has become something of an outdated attack, and Gunners sees the player as a genuine alternative for the left and in the midfield.
Eze is capable of producing something magical and is an excellent dribble that is effective in getting his shot off under pressure.
Potentially “X-Factor” Arsenal demand, Eze’s former teammate, bright Osayi Samuel, has described the 27-year-old as “scary”.
“During that time I played with Eberechi Eze, who is someone I have been playing with since I was at school,” the defender told Sun Sport.
“So, you know, for me and him, it was just Vibber. We took games like Vibber, and you could see that it actually started to make us win too.
“I mean, he was amazing. For him, I always knew from the moment I played with him at QPR, that he would probably go a long way.
“I still think he can go a long way because he is probably in the top three players that I have ever played with, because he is literally so talented.
“It’s different, because you can see it in play, but what I’ve seen him do too many players in training is scary.”

Arsenal needs more players who scare defenders like Eberechi Eze
When Eze gets started, he is a joy to watch.
The Ex-QPR man slides easily past players and uses his outstanding close control and difficult body movements to drive their team up the plan.
Arsenal has become predictable in the attack and has few players who are effective in hitting a man and pulling a solid defense out of position.
Eberechi Eze’s Premier League -Statistics 2024/25 | |
Appearance | 34 |
CASE | 8 |
Assistants | 8 |
Shots per 90 | 3.48 |
Expected goals per 90 | 0.36 |
Key pass per 90 | 2.01 |
Expected assists per 90 | 0.22 |
Successful roofs per 90 | 2.33 |
Only Bukayo Saka finished more than two dribbles per 90 minutes last season in Gunners’ squad, and this meant that the Artetas side struggled to break down low blocks.
Eze finishes 2.33 roofs per match, and this would make him the productive dribbler at the Emirate.
Arsenal may need to sell to sign Eze, but if they can, Berta must do so.
