Despite the injury, Kobe Brown shows off its potential for Clippers in Summer League Win
The match of the NBA Summer League of Clippers on Friday against the Houston Rockets offered Kobe Brown to prove that it is able to be a rotation player for the Clippers in this season.
But the misfortune struck in the third quarter when Brown tangled with a defender of the rockets that fell on the right ankle. Brown sat on the Clippers bench for a few minutes before limp in their locker room.

Brown did not return to the 95-92 victory of the Clippers at Cox Pavilion on Friday evening after supporting what the team described as a bruise of the right ankle.
Brown is entering his third season with the Clippers and the team is anxious of the 30th choice of 2023 to have an impact. He will make $ 2.65 million this season and will have a qualified offer for the next season at $ 4.7 million.

“He just has to continue doing what he did tonight,” said the assistant coach of Clippers Jerry Castleberry, the team’s Summer League coach. “Play a great defense. Take right readings. We talked about the whole training field. Put in the paint, draw two, make the right readings and if they put a small one, showed his ability to be able to score against a discrepancy tonight and do it in the right way – quickly, doing downhill, not dancing, only going directly to the point.

Brown scored 10 points in the first quarter, going four by five from the field, making both his attempts of three points. On one of those three, he ran the length of the court and took a ride for a dunk.
Brown closed with 14 points, four rebounds and four assists in 20 minutes.
“The ankle is good,” said Castleberry. “The ankle is fine. Just precautionary. It will be fine.”
The Clippers renounced Jordan Miller before the start of the summer alloy, but they still had a place of roster, so it was added to the team.
He did not disappoint on Friday, producing 23 points and 11 rebounds.
Miller had the opportunity to show the clippers – and any other team – how the summer league is useful for him.

“With this team it takes a lot of humility. Not thinking less about yourself, but also thinking less about yourself,” Miller said. “Just find a way to maximize any role. And to be able not to ruin the defensive.”
He was in defense in which the debutant of Clippers Yanic Konan Niederhauser was his best.
Niederhauser blocked four shots and had 10 rebounds. He used his seven feet frame as a cleansing and showed the reason why the clippers developed him from Penn State.
“He did everything he should have done,” said Castleberry. “It was fantastic with the protection of the rims, changing the blows and I thought it was good.”
