Detroit signs the veteran Javonte Green wing to a one -year contract
The Detroit Pistons have just added some defense and tenacity to their already impressive rotation of the wing for the next season.
Detroit signed Javonte Green veteran with a one -year contract, Shams Charania of the Athletic reports. Green becomes the 14th player in the Pistons roster for the next season, even if it is not yet known if it is a fully guaranteed contract.
Green, 32, is known for his defense and has marked an average of 5.1 points and 3.2 rebounds of a game last season, dividing the time among the Pellicans (who purchased it) and the Cavaliers (who took the opportunity to sign it as a free agent).
Green joins a deep rotation of the wing who probably sees Jaden Ivey and Ausar Thompson, with new additions to Detroit Caris Levert and Duncan Robinson who gets off the bench behind them. Marcus Sasser and Ron Holland II should also be in the mix. For a team of Detroit who wants to see his defense move in the top 10 in the championship this season (he finished last season 11 °), adding Green to the mix on the wing is an advantage, giving the coach JB Bickerstaff another solid option in his rotation.
