Eze and Dowman inject Arsenal fans with the biggest feeling of football
Optimism despite injuries to Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard proves that something new brews at Arsenal
But this match was anything but usual. The unveiling, the much -needed breakthrough, he dazzling debut.
Everyone was extraordinary, and the fact that Arsenal supporters had Salt-N-Pepas “Push It” called in their heads when they left the Emirate and long into the night, yes that just finished it-for no gooner could have seen it last season.
It was a carnival atmosphere, and even though twice this had been threatened – when Odegaard went off during the first half and shake under the second – prevailed positive and prevented a noticeable mood shift that Mikel Arteta recognized.
“Today I saw something else at Stadion,” Arteta said. “It was another (level of) enthusiasm, positivity, how they lived the game. I loved it.”
And everything originated from catching and parsing of Eberechi Eze.
Their new No. 10 waved and blew kisses, and when he went to the tribun remained bounce that he gave on the pitch.
And when the hosts’ Failsafe, a goal from one corner, put them forward and as did it did two, all the results were already beyond Leeds United after half time.
Still, even though there was an attacker who needed his big break. Even in the warm-up you could see the encouragement from teammates and hear zeal from Arsenal’s fans-who cheered his name higher than anyone else during the team messages-all wants Viktor Gyokeres to get the brand.
Such is the unmatched nature of modern football and the Cesspit which is social media, that we would suddenly think that Gyokeres was already under pressure after only a weak hour at Old Trafford.
Thankfully, he shaken his critics in a emphatic way and cut in before a strike led to tangible relief when thousands of mimicked a celebration that they hope to copy much more times this season.
Kai Hafertz, Odegaard and Saka all injured in a week. Two in one game. It should be enough to empty all title hopeful prospects, especially with a trip to Liverpool on the horizon, but Arteta had tricks up the sleeve, a depth that was already tested but still showed a newfound strength.
On came Leandro Trossard – who played with purpose – and over went Noni Madueke, which means that the loss Saka and Odegaard, which had been replaced by Ethan Nwaneri, now felt manageable.
Even more, the introduction of Max Dowman comes in just 15 years and 234 days old. The second youngest Premier League debutant (after Nwaneri) and with Myles Lewis-Skelly who also came on, here were three Hale End-Tone year olds on the pitch for title challengers.
Each Arsenal fan became that parent on the side line. Each touch wants, each ball kicked together, with so many desperate for this debut to be highlighted with a goal.
It almost happened too, but two chances came and flew from his left luggage before won a penalty in injury time.
Got inside wanted him to take it with the results line at 4-0, but undoubtedly reason prevailed to give it to Gyokeres, and gift the Swede a chance to make a statement in his first home performances instead.
He did, and again it was reprinted.

And on the whole, eventful. Eze’s disclosure felt like a remote memory full -time, but it had been the catalyst on this memorable evening for those in red.
His arrival immediately soften the battle of the two injuries. He can connect the Odegaard gap and gives the X factor that sake also boasts. He could even play in Saka’s position, which Arteta admitted afterwards, it is his versatility and quality.
Everything therefore makes the most dangerous but beautiful of football feelings, one that carries supporters through the week and an Arsenal fans must have been lost after another trophy season and Liverpool’s reinforcement this summer.
But you better think it’s back. It was all over the Emirate. You could see it, hear it and feel it.
Hope.
