FA Cup third round draw in full as Man Utd get tricky tie while Arsenal face away clash | Football | Sport

The FA Cup third round draw is complete and results in some interesting ties. All 44 Premier League and Championship teams, including title holders Crystal Palace, are taking part in the tournament at this stage. They are joined by three non-league clubs in the draw. National League side Boreham Wood and sixth-tier sides Macclesfield and Weston-super-Mare are through to the third round, although Brackley Town were beaten by Burton Albion at home after the draw.

And they have now all known the opponents they will face on the weekend of Saturday January 10, 2026 after former England internationals and FA Cup winners Joe Cole and Peter Crouch fired the balls…

Highlights include thrilling clashes between Tottenham and Aston Villa in north London, and Manchester United hosting Brighton. Newcastle also host Bournemouth with Everton taking on Sunderland, another high-profile showdown.

Premier League leaders Arsenal face a banana skin trip to Championship side Portsmouth, while Chelsea have also been handed an away game in a Championship match, against Charlton Athletic.

Liverpool, another big six club, also have a lower league opponent, as they will host third-tier Barnsley at Anfield. Relegation-threatened League One side Exeter City face the daunting trip to Manchester City while title holders Crystal Palace travel to non-league side Macclesfield in a match sure to be shown live on television.

Elsewhere, Hollywood owners Wrexham take on Premier League side Nottingham Forest at the Racecourse Ground. Sixth-tier Weston Super Mare travel to League Two side Grimsby Town for their first ever FA Cup third round tie.

All third round matches will be played on the weekend of Saturday January 10, 2026.
