Farhad Moshiri has wanted to sell Everton. It is now clear that 777 Partners is buying the English Premier League club.

At the beginning of the year, it was reported that Everton owner Farhad Moshiri wanted to sell the English Premier League club.

It is now clear that this will be the case. Everton announce via the official website that 777 Partners is buying Moshiri’s entire stake, which corresponds to 94.1 percent.

“The result of this agreement is that we have an experienced investor in football clubs, who will help maximise commercial opportunities, and we have secured the funding for our new stadium – which will be crucial for the future success of Everton.

“Today is an important next step in the development for Everton and I look forward to closely following as our club grows stronger.

777 Partners already owns or co-owns a whole range of clubs: Genoa (Italy), Vasco da Gama (Brazil), Hertha Berlin (Germany), Standard Liège (Belgium), Red Star FC (France), Sevilla (Spain) and Melbourne Victory (Australia).

Everton are eighteenth in the Premier League, with one recorded point in four rounds.
