‘For a long time now’: Rob Edwards hails ‘competitive’ Wolves as he eyes strong season finish after Arsenal comeback
Edwards endured a difficult run of results after taking over from Vitor Pereira – but managed to turn around his players’ performances.
Their sensational comeback against league leaders Arsenal means they have only been beaten three times in the last eleven outings, including two against Chelsea and Man City.
During this series there have been numerous draws – with Wolves still only having ten points from 27 games.
But he believes his side have proven they can be competitive against Premier League sides between now and the end of the season.
And when asked if the players could use Arsenal’s return as a springboard to finish the season strong, Edwards replied: “They should.
“That’s three defeats in 11 games, two of which were against Chelsea and Man City. So actually we’re doing well.
