Morris’ twin brother, the veteran colleague of the NBA player Markieff Morris, suggested Sunday on X (Fomerly Twitter) that the situation had been exaggerated and that his brother would have had more to say about the question shortly.

“The formulation is crazy,” wrote Markieff Morris, who played a handful of games with the Lakers last season after being acquired by the Dallas Mavericks in the trade that brought Luka Doncic to La

“Damn for that sum of money that will embarrass you at the airport with your family. They did really think that brother has made fraud … they could have reached the crib for all this. When you hear the true story on this friend. All I can say is the lesson learned. They will make you all tomorrow.”

The agent Tony Noy, who represents both Morris brothers with the investment management company of Laa Partners, republished posts by Markieff Morris and indicated that the accusation against Marcus Morris was born from “an exceptional indicator with a casino”.

“Only in this way everyone understands that this is a zero fraud here or whatever Schife is said to concern false checks or whatever hell,” Noy wrote. “This is due to a pending indicator with a casino. Apparently if you have over $ 1,200 they can issue a mandate for your arrest. Insanity Insanity!”

Noy did not immediately respond to the messages of the times.

Marcus Morris played 11 years in the NBA, including Four Seasons with the Clippers (2019-2023). He also spent time with the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks and played the last time for the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2023-24 season.
