Nottingham Forest fired manager Ange Postecoglou around 20 minutes after a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday and just 39 days after the Australian took charge.

Postecoglou failed to win any of his eight matches in charge after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo on September 9 and owner Evangelos Marinakis issued a ruthless appeal after Forest’s fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions.

Jurrien Timber collects the ball from Fulham and passes it to Bukayo Saka, who lunges forward and the Englishman shoots from outside but is blocked.

Alex Iwobi looks brilliant for Fulham as he picks out Harry Wilson, who fires a shot just wide from 20 yards. Great luck that!

Fulham had the better chances despite the lack of possession. However, the Cottagers feared injuries as Tom Cairney sat down and this disrupted play.

Viktor Gyokeres finally gets a shot on goal when he is fed by Bukayo Saka but the Swede’s shot is stopped by Bernd Leno.

Joachim Andersen will not finish the match and is replaced by Issa Diop. Elsewhere, their skipper Tom Cairney is also not in good form. Worrying times for Cottagers.

A nice, intricate move ends with Declan Rice hitting it wide of the Fulham goal and referee Anthony Taylor blowing the half-time whistle.
