Gabriel Martinelli sends message to Eze and Madueke over Arsenal role | Football

Gabriel Martinelli said he was ready to fight for his future in Arsenal despite increasing competition for a place in the departure XI.

The Brazilian international was regularly the first choice of Mikel Arteta to the left of the attack, fighting against Leandro Trossard for minutes with a return of 10 goals and six assists last season.

The Gunners made huge additions to their attack in summer with Viktor Gykerres from the CP Sportif to lead the attack.

Noni Madueke was brought from Chelsea to provide coverage and competition to Bukayo Saka on the right, but also offer another option on the left.

Ebelechi Eze has made the trip through the capital of Crystal Palace, another option on this side of the field.

Martinelli was linked to the distance from the Emirates during the summer transfer window with the Saudi side al-Nassr among the clubs interested in its services.

Arsenal would have been opened for the sale of the young woman of 24, but a huge price requested of 60 million pounds sterling was deemed too high – the interested parties promoting him closer than 40 million pounds sterling.

With neither Rodrygo ni Vinicius Jr in the team, Martinelli started for his country last week against Chile and hopes to do the same thing this evening against Bolivia.

“Regarding Arsenal, it’s like here in the national team,” said Martinelli. “If you ask me if it is good to have Vini or Rodrygo in the national team, I will certainly say yes.

“Because he will help the team win titles. And if we want to win, we need quality players.

“It’s the same with Arsenal. I am also very happy with the arrival of Eze and Madueke. Trosarrd also plays on the left side.

“So we are very happy when we have quality players at our side. We have a lot of games in the season. Many things can happen, injuries, etc.

“So we are happy that the club is looking for the best players in the League so that we can try to win.”

Trossard is another role competition in Arteta’s attack with Arsenal rejecting an offer from Besiktas for the Belgian international.
