Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher collide Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres
Viktor Gyokere’s future Arsenal role led to a debate between Sky Sports -Pundered Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher when they were not disagreed with Mikel Arteta’s plans for the new forward in northern London
Jamie Carragher shockingly claimed that Mikel Arteta will not use new signing Viktor Gyokeres in Arsenal’s biggest matches this season. The former Liverpool defender surprised his colleague Pundit Gary Neville, who was not in the same camp.
Gyokeres started Arsenal’s first match this season against Manchester United and was on the pitch an hour before he was replaced. Sweden International struggled to get involved in the Gunners game and failed to register a shot during its time in the field, while Arsenal won at Old Trafford.
And reflecting on the impressive album Arteta’s side has built against its rivals – Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham – Carragher suggested that Gyokeres may not have against such teams with Arsenal unbeaten in their last 22 games against these teams. The Champions League winner does not believe that Gyokeres will have a problem finding the net throughout the season but expects Kai Haveertz is too important to release.
“If I’m honest, I think they go back to Haftz in the biggest games, I think that will be the case,” Carragher said at Sky Sports. “I can see Gyokeres playing and scoring goals.”
Neville replied: “He can’t leave Gyokeres from big games.” But Carragher doubled rapidly.

“He can,” he said. “I think Haftz is too important a player for Mikel Arteta to be omitted. I don’t see it happening at all.”
Neville suggested that both stars could play together. “Arsenal needed a center forward and brought one in, I saw glimpses that made me think he will be a handful,” Neville said.
‘(Gabriel) Martinelli looks like he is fighting, perhaps to get Gyokeres and Havertz in together is something he has to try. “
Arsenal’s victory over United, Arteta admitted that there was still work to do to integrate Gyoker completely on his side but was pleased with his start. “Well, he did a lot of things very well,” said the Spaniard
“You can say, especially in our high -pressing rhythm that we demand it, especially during the first hour. Again he took too much time. It is something we have to work with him, especially there.
“And then, yes, complete the situation, he did not have so many chances to do it because, as I said, on the previous action, before we had to play the last ball that the line stood still with 40 meters behind, we then managed to put the ball to take advantage of his quality.
“But overall, I mean, when I come to Manchester United and won your first game with Arsenal, that’s a good start.”
