Jamie Carragher names Arsenal ‘all-rounder’ who is better than Chelsea star | Football
Football Smit Jamie Carragher is convinced that Declan Rice, a “versatile” of Arsenal, is a higher midfielder that the Chelsea Moises Caicedo star.
Rice impressed since he joined West Ham Arsenal for 105 million pounds sterling in the summer of 2023 and is considered one of the best field environments in England.
The same goes for 23 -year -old Caicedo International Caicedo, who moved to Chelsea in an agreement of 115 million pounds from Brighton two years ago.
Caicedo shone at the start of the 2025-26 campaign, evoking three goals on the first seven matches of Chelsea in the Premier League.
Rice also recorded a number of brilliant performances, with three assists and a goal in the seven high -flying games of Arsenal this quarter.

While Gary Neville said that Caicedo is “the best midfielder in the league”, Carragher disagreed, arguing that Rice is the best midfielder.
“(Caicedo) is very close (but) it would not be the best for me,” said Carragher on Sky Sports.
“If you talk about a versatile midfielder, Declan Rice would be just pee Caicedo for me, I think he just has a little extra quality with the ball.”
The compatriot Expert Neville, on the other hand, said: (Caicedo Est) the best midfielder in the League at the time.
“And I think I’m comfortable saying that. (Ryan) Gravenberch last season, and perhaps Declan Rice and Rodri of course, in recent years.
“But now I think that for the moment, we can say that Caicedo is the best midfielder in the League, and he performs like that.”
Caicedo was recently compared to the legends of Chelsea N’Golo Kante and Claude Makelele.
“It’s so good that fans love me, but for sure, I am very far from Kante or Makelele,” said Caicedo.
“What they did here was a lot. I will continue to work because I want to become a legend here and reach a lot with this incredible club.
Caicedo won two trophies since he joined Chelsea – the Blues won the title of the Conference League and the title of the Club World Cup in 2025.
Rice, meanwhile, helped Arsenal win the community shield two years ago.
Caicedo has played a total of 107 games for Chelsea to date, recording six goals and 10 assists.
Rice made 113 appearances for Arsenal, evoking 17 goals and 23 assists.
