Jayson Tatum was walking comfortably around the practice of Patriots without boot

The expectation remains that Jayson Tatum will not set foot on a NBA field next season. If he does, he will be deeply in a season that his Boston Celtics are already treating as a sabbatical year, having focused on the moves of money saving in this offseason.

Having said that, it is still a good sign to see Tatum walking without boot and moving well in the practice of new England Patriots on Wednesday.

There were also videos on social media tatum that train in the weight room of the Celtics practice structure.

Tatum has undergone surgery on his Achilles torn in May and progress in techniques and equipment mean that anyone who receives that intervention is standing and moves much earlier than they would have also had a decade ago. This is the case of Tatum. However, a return to the field for a professional athlete remains a long arch due to the need to reconstruct the strength in the support muscles around the tendon, as well as ensuring that he is completely healed and can manage the intense tension placed on it. Even then, it usually takes time for the player to trust that leg again on the field.

Seeing Tatum walking around the practice of patriots does not change any of this, but it is still a good sign.
