Jonathan Kuminga, Warriors who discuss the contract again – NBC Sports Bay Area and California
Jonathan Kuminga and warriors have restored contractual negotiations.
The Golden State front Office remained in an impasse with the 22 -year -old free will in this offseason on a new agreement, even if both parties are trying to solve their problems.
“Well, there have been renewed conversations between the two sides,” the Esider Nba Anthony Slater said on Friday on “NBA TODAY” by Espn. “There is a dialogue, but as you all know, talking is not necessarily the same as the movement. They shared the concepts and contractual opinions on the whole last week, dating back to the last weekend.
“Kuminga wants more than a deal suitable for players, plus a signal that is an elegant element, not a good.”
After exchanging Jimmy Butler last season, Kuminga left the regular rotation of Warriors coach Steve Kerr. The lack of a significant game time, combined with its free agency status, led to both sides to examine commercial possibilities. While a potential commercial framework with the King Sacrament was underway, nothing materialized.
Both sides seem willing to elaborate an agreement to keep Kuminga in Golden State, but the 22 year old is not yet sold on being what is equivalent to a backup for games in which Butler and Steph Curry cannot bring the offensive load.
Kuminga was selected with choice n. 7 In the NBA Draft of 2021, with Golden State who expected the raw but talented striker to develop in an all-star caliber player. While showing flashes of brilliance, it was not enough to win a point in the initial rotation with Butler in the feile.
The 22 -year -old has few other options given the lack of interest from other teams and his limited state of the free agent.
We hope that both sides can work through their differences and understand a resolution before the start of the team’s official training field next month.
