Karl-Anthony Towns controversial Espn reports that he suffered a knee procedure during the offseason

3

The Karl-Anthony Towns offseason knee procedure was a plot that went to the average day of New York Knicks, which apparently was news in the city.

While the Knicks Center spoke with journalists on Tuesday, Stefan Bondy of the New York Post asked him to “a knee procedure” reported by Espn. This led to the following exchange:

City: “No, I didn’t have a knee – where do you feel it? Did you come on the day of the media to come and put it out there?”

Bondy: “I thought Espn reported it.”

City: “Who did it, centel?”

The cities refer to NBA Centel in there, which is the notorious False News X account that has deceived more than some people to believe ridiculous stories.

The video later shows Bondy who provides the cities with the Espn report on his phone, to which cities smile and erroneously says: “This does not even say the procedures!” So he leaves.

The Espn in question report came from Ramona Shelburne of Espn on June 4, with the title “Sources: the cities of Karl-Anthonyys treated for the knee, fingertips”. While the Lede of the article only says that the cities were “treatment” for a knee injury suffered in the playoffs, he continues to say:

“After the Knicks season ended with the defeat of Saturday 6 against the pacer, the cities re -examined the lesions and chose to immediately have procedures in order to have as long as possible to recover before the next season, they said sources.”

Shelburne has not publicly commented on the situation since Tuesday evening.

So what happened here?

To begin with, it is worth noting that we are facing in semantics. A “procedure” in the context of sport is generally accepted to signify a sort of surgery or doctor, from something similar to a cortisone shot in any of the great surgical interventions. It is not synonymous with “treatment”, which could be insignificant as a massage, and Espn has done alone, cities and bondy without favors being no longer specific.

The cities have clearly not been subjected to a knee procedure, or at least it does not want anyone to know that it has undergone a knee procedure. If the Espn relationship was actually incorrect and nothing performed on Towns’ knee could be fairly described as a procedure, it is not clear why he or Knicks (whose pray team would have absolutely seen the report) did not corrected the record in June.

Announcement

It was right that Bondy made the relationship not addressed to the media day appear and obtained his response, in one way or another.

Towns is entering his second season with the Knicks after an extraordinary first year, earning the third team all-nba honors for a 51 wins Knicks team. Entering this year, New York holds +750 probability for the NBA title in Betmgm, in a tie with three other teams for the second longest probability behind the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder (+275).
