It was a pleasure to welcome the Kevin Campbell Foundation to the Arsenal hub for two special days of activities and inspiration.

We were also achieved by the project of St Matthew and AFEWEE FC, both charity bodies registered based in BRXTON who provide activities, development opportunities and vital support for young people inside and around the area – a cause close to the heart of Kevin, see Kevin was in Brixton Boy.

During the visit, the young people had the opportunity to play football on the pitch and enjoy the guide tour of the Emirates stadium, creating memories that will last a lifetime. They were also reached by the former Arsenal Perry Groves wing, who shared stories heard on Kevin, both as a person and a great teammate of Arsenal.

Kevin Campbell Foundation was institizing from Kevin’s family following his sad disappearance in 2024, with the aim of building the legacy that continues to influence, inspire and raise communities – just like Kevin has done throughout his life.

As part of that legacy, Arsenal in the community collaborated with the Foundation to launch the Kevin Campbell Award. This prize that demonstrates an exceptional commitment within our coach development program.

The inaugural recipient, Lucy Tuke-Hostings, was chosen by his peers and collects in view of the game of Arsenal Agast Fulham in April, in honor of his exceptional dedication to the program.

Winner of the Kevin Campbell prize appointed

The founder and CEO of Kevin Campbell Foundation, Kevin’s sister, Lorna Campbell, said: “We are honored to work in collaboration with Arsenal in the community to create the opportunities for young people. The participation of women and girls in basic football”.
