The kings are on the hunt for a guard.

After exchanging Davion Mitchell last season and then exchanged De’Aron Fox with the San Antonio Spurs last season, the “One” sacrament options were limited.

After the NBA Insider Marc Stein reported Tuesday that the kings were on the market for the 31 -year -old Dennis Schröder, Athletic’s Sam Amick followed on Wednesday evening that the kings could be on the market for another pair of NBA veterans, Tyus Jones and Russell Westbrook.

“The kings really have a serious interest in the veteran Dennis Schröder,” wrote Amick. “That is, of course, if it does not do something with Detroit Pistons first (the sources of the League say that it has been in negotiations on that front this week). The other free agents Tyus Jones and Russell Westbrook are also options that the kings are taking into consideration.”

Westbrook refused his option with Denver Nuggets and Jones entered the agency free after a season with the Phoenix Suns.

Jones signed a one-year agreement with the Suns in 2024 and marked an average of 10.2 points and 5.3 assists per game-entrance were less than his first season, which played with the Washington Wizards.

The 29 -year -old would probably adapt better to Sacramento, given his age and the fact that the kings are still planning to build around the center of Domantas Sabonis and the attacker Keegan Murray.

As for the former MVP Westbrook, the 36 -year -old had his ups and downs with the Nuggets and marked on average 13.3 points, 6.1 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game with Denver.

Both players could give the kings significant help in the flagship guard position, while Malik Monk fought while the manager of the ball designated during the second half of last season. He had problems possession of the ball and had an average of 2.4 career turnover per game in the season, but a turnover of 3.1 or not even per game after Fox trade in February.

The hunt for the free agency of Sacramento for a leading guard will certainly be committed and which will officially begin on June 30th.
