Sources tell to Sny’s Ian Begley that the Indian Pacers’ Mike Weinar He removed himself from consideration for an assistant for best Knicks who performed the offense. Weinar made his decision on Tuesday to stay with the Eastern Conference Pacers sample to train together with the coach head Rick Carlisle.

The news was reported for the first time by Stefan Bondy of the New York Post.

Weinar was an assistant coach under Carlisle for seven seasons from 2018 to 2025 with the Dallas Maverks and Pacers. The 41 -year -old coach is under contract with the Pacers and presumably would be authorized to leave if for a promotion/relaunch.

A name that remains a candidate for the position is Chris Juntwhich is currently under contract with the Charlotte Hornets. As Begley observes, Jent was part of Brown’s staff with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jent was an assistant coach with the 76er, Magic, Cavaliers, Kings, Hawks, Lakers and Hornets from 2003 to 2025. He was the interim coach for magic during the 2004-05 season, where he went 5-13.
