Arsenal host Kairat at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening hoping to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Gunners recently suffered a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Manchester United, so they would be eager to bounce back with a victory in midweek.

Mikel Arteta will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make many changes to his first XI for this match. Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ben White and Gabriel Martinelli could all play from the start of this match.

Defense

David Raya will feature between the sticks for the Gunners after scoring three goals in his last outing. William Saliba will operate alongside Gabriel in the center of Arsenal’s backline as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the 90 minutes.

Ben White will try to attract attention as a right-back, while Myles Lewis-Skelly will hope to give a good account of himself on the other side as a left-back. Both will have the freedom to advance and express themselves in the opposing half.

Jurrien Timber and Cristhian Mosquera will cover the defensive positions on the bench.

Mikel Merino, Christian Norgaard and Eberechi Eze will make up Arsenal’s midfield. Their main task would be to maintain possession well in the middle of the park and create clear-cut chances in the final third.

Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice will be available for selection on the bench awaiting their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Gabriel Martinelli will look to impress as a left-back player, while Noni Madueke hopes to shine on the right flank. Both will obtain the license allowing them to position themselves behind the opposition backline at every opportunity.
