Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal demand same signing if Wolves are relegated

Premier League fans were all impressed with one Wolves player after his performance against Liverpool.

Fans of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal agree their club needs to sign a star player if Wolves are relegated this season.

On Tuesday evening, Liverpool traveled to Molineux to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in a match which could have significant repercussions for both teams.

Before the match, Liverpool knew that a win would be needed to continue qualifying for next season’s Champions League, while anything other than a defeat could help Wolves survive relegation this season.

Ultimately, it was Wolves who left the match happiest, as a superb goal from Rodrigo Gomes put the home side ahead, before Andre’s first goal in 60 appearances for Wolves prevented Mo Salah’s equalizer to win the match.

But after the final whistle, it wasn’t the Wolves goalscorers that fans across the Premier League demanded their clubs sign during the summer transfer window.

Although Wolves picked up three key points against the Premier League champions, the club still face an uphill battle if they hope to survive the drop from the Championship at the end of the season in just a few months’ time.

If the Midlands club are to drop out at the end of the season, then it is almost certain that several of their key players will look to leave the club this summer, and it appears that Joao Gomes will be a sought-after man.

Another agreed, suggesting: “Joao Gomes, Ugarte simple inside and out.”

Meanwhile, a Liverpool fan said: “We should be everywhere with Joao Gomes this summer.”

With one Arsenal fan adding: “I wouldn’t mind seeing Joao Gomes at Arsenal one day.”

Gomes has been a key player for Wolves this season, making 32 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Recently, the Brazilian bounced back from being dropped after a fitness issue, producing a man-of-the-match performance, scoring his first goal since February 2025 in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa.
