Liverpool might now be in big trouble after what Arsenal have just announced

9
Liverpool and Arsenal prove to be a bit of a rivalry on and off the field.

The Reds sit at the top of the Premier League table just two points above Arsenal, the Gunners fill this gap after the weekend.

They took advantage of the loss of Liverpool by beating Newcastle in the last minutes of their match against Newcastle, with this feeling as a huge result despite the fact that it is only September.

In addition to that, Arsenal has just made an announcement that will also benefit them massively, which probably allowing them to continue to challenge for the title for many years to come.

However, this means bad news for reds and fans, with huge training effects for the future of a particular player.

William Saliba signing a new contract means only one thing for Ibrahima Konate

One of the greatest forces in Arsenal is their defense, being one of the best in the league and perhaps even in Europe.

A key element of this is William Saliba, the Frenchman having an instant impact as soon as he had a chance.

He firmly imposed himself as one of the best, hence the reason why people like Real Madrid were eager to sign it, but Arsenal has just confirmed that he signed a new long -term contract to the club.

Not only does this have effects on Liverpool because Arsenal is much stronger with him, but it means that Madrid will probably end their interest in him, for the moment, and will focus only on the signature of Ibrahima Konate.

Konate has not yet signed a new contract and can negotiate a pre-contract with clubs abroad from January, showing how the Reds have left a short time to try to attach it.

Although it has already been the first choice, now that their targets are reduced, Madrid will probably accelerate talks with the defender when they can, with it which seems inevitable that it will leave for free.

This means that Liverpool will have lost players for nothing for Madrid two summers in a row, which is far from ideal given how important they were for the team.

Liverpool must sign a central defender in January

With the Spanish giants likely to be in contact with Konate in only four months, his head could be elsewhere in mid-season, although his performance can suggest that it is already the east.

In addition that it is difficult to count on him for the moment, the injury of the LCA of Giovanni Leoni makes the signature more important than ever, with there only three options to choose.

Marc Guehi would be the obvious choice, so rather than waiting to sign it in summer, paying a little money earlier could be reasonable, so they have a safety net to withdraw if necessary.

Dayot UpameCano is another option and a player who is without contract in summer, although Madrid is also interested in him and can share him Konate.
